LIPS 101

Lip color is one of the easiest and quickest ways to play up your mood, whether it’s flirty, dramatic, or ultracool.

PASTEL GLOSS

Sparkling sheer pink lips are a surefire way to pretty up your look, no matter what you’re coloring.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

-Lip pencil that matches your lip color

-Sheer pale pink lip gloss

HOW TO GET THE LOOK

-Define lips and keep gloss from bleeding by lining them with a lip pencil that matches your lip color. Use your middle finger to blend the color inward so there are no visible lines.

-Apply a dollop of gloss with your fingertip, a brush, or a sponge tipped wand to the center of your lips. Gently press your lips together and smush back and forth to distribute color. Now add a bit more gloss to the outer edges.

-Make your pout shine even more with a touch of shimmery gloss right in the center of your top and bottom lip.

RED LIPS

Paint your lips when you want to make a statement without saying a word.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

-Creamy red lipstick

-Red lip liner that matches your lipstick

-Lip brush

-Tissues

-Translucent powder

-Powder brush

HOW TO GET THE LOOK:

-Since red cream lipstick can be a attention grabber, they’ve got to look perfectly neat. Use a lip liner that matches your lipstick and line your lips. And with the same pencil fill in your lips

-For extra precision, use a lip brush to apply the lipstick for better control.

-Blot lips with tissue, or dust over your lips with a translucent powder to set in the color.

-On a special note stick your finger in your mouth while your mouth is wrapped around your finger to remove red lipstick in your inner mouth that can stick onto your teeth and have red lipstick all over your teeth.

NATURAL MATTE LIPS

Wear this look day or night when you want to feel like the hippest girl in the room. This works best when paired with natural looking eye makeup.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

-Lip balm

-Flesh-tone lip liner

-Lip brush

-Matte flesh tone lipstick

-Clear gloss (optional)

HOW TO GET THE LOOK

-Since matte lips can be drying, before applying a matte lipstick, condition your lips with an emollient balm so it’s chap and flake free. If dead skin still lingers, gently exfoliate with a warm, wet wash cloth, which you can wipe back and forth over your lips for about 30 seconds.

-So the look is neat and stays put, line and fill in your lips with a light brown to nude lip pencil.

-Using a lip brush apply a matte lip color that blends into your natural kin tone.

-If the matte look is a little harsh to your taste try adding a layer of clear gloss.
